Warranty Claim Filing

The warranty claim is the tool through which a Maserati dealer can request the reimbursement for an intervention performed under warranty.

The warranty claim must be correctly filled, otherwise the performed intervention will not be reimbursed. 

The warranty claim is made up of different parts:


Repair


p42_1_EN

This box contains all the information related to the workshop visit. 


Defect


p42_2_EN

The Cost Code must be selected according to the list of the available Cost Codes.

Campaign #” box must be filled only for warranty claims related to campaigns. 

BOL” box should be filled with the number of BOL report created for the specific issue.

In the “BOL2” drop down menu you can check if there are previous closed BOLs you can link to the current claim.

Authorization #” should be filled only in case of authorization by ABM/ Warranty Department due to blocking warnings.

Component” box is automatically filled with the defective component declared in Service Entry. 

Defect” box must be filled using the drop down menu. This code describes what is wrong with the failed component.

Any warranty claims for which a Blue on Line Report must be opened according to the Blue On Line policies, will be subject to debit in case of BOL missing.

This bulletin outlines the required documentation that Maserati Dealers must submit with each warranty claim to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant processing. Key documents include the customer complaint, repair order, diagnostic reports, photo/video evidence, and any additional materials based on the type of issue. The bulletin emphasizes that incomplete or missing documentation may lead to delays, adjustments, or claim rejections. Dealers are reminded that BOL submissions are only required when explicitly stated in policy bulletins. A reference appendix is included to guide required attachments by problem type.


Labour Code

In this section the warranty manager puts in the labour codes related to the intervention performed on the vehicle. The system automatically displays the working time and calculates the total cost considering the dealer labour rate.


Spare parts replaced

In this section the warranty manager inserts the parts number and the quantity of the spare parts replaced. The system automatically calculates the total amount.

In this box is it possible to insert the amount related to external works.

It is mandatory to upload the invoice and a detailed comment.
