Archiving
The documents must be stored for 10 years plus the current year.
The proper warranty claim storage must contain:
- Modis warranty claim print;
- Repair Order signed by customer;
- Repair times print and the name of the technician who performed the work;
- Copy of the invoice;
- Copy of the “Scheduled Maintenance” section of the Warranty booklet for interventions related to lubricated parts; in case of maintenance performed outside the Maserati network, it is necessary to store
- the invoice in which that parts and the type of oil used are clearly visible
- Spare parts delivery note;
- Diagnosis print;
- Print of programming closure;
- Print of wheel alignment data, with vehicle data if wheel alignment is claimed under warranty;
- Digital picture of the defective parts for bodywork and interiors and, anyway, when it is necessary to document defects;
- Any authorizations received from Maserati for the use of extra time;
- Any authorizations received by Maserati for commercial goodwill.
Dealers can utilize an electronic archiving system as long as all documents related to any warranty repair can be reproduced.
Each electronic document must be cross referenced and filed by VIN.
In the event of an audit, a computer and printer must be available to the Maserati Representative in order to gain access to all electronic documents.
