Exclusions
Maserati’s obligation under the warranty excludes:
- Fading and deterioration of paint, chrome and trim due to normal wear or abnormal exposure to the elements or abnormal climatic conditions (i.e. stone chips/scratches/dings/dents, road salt, tree sap, acid rain, bird droppings);
- Normal Maintenance service, including but not limited to:
- lubrication and filters
- replacement of brake pad linings
- replacement of belts, wires, coolant
- replacement of clutch disc and pressure plates
- replacement of windshield wiper blades
- replacement of light bulbs and fuses (Xenon bulbs covered)
- wheel alignment, balancing and adjustments
- tyres*, which are warranted separately by the tyre manufacture
- Windscreens and windows breakage, unless it occurs as a result of defects in material or workmanship, not in case the damage is caused by external agents (e.g. loose chippings).
- Damage by use of fuel, oil or lubrications other than those specified, as indicated in the owner’s manual
- Damage to the interior (soft trim) due to normal wear and tear, misuse or negligence;
- Damage caused by environmental conditions (i.e. .acid rain).
Maserati shall have no obligation under the above warranty for any replacement or repair which is necessitated by:
- Misuse, negligence, overloading, any type of modification, accidents, track use, use in racing and/or competitions or any use not complying with the instructions provided by MASERATI;
- Use of parts other than genuine Maserati parts/ equivalent parts;
- Unauthorized alteration or repair of the car by other than an authorized Maserati Dealer;
- Improper maintenance (correct maintenance procedures are referenced in the Owner’s Manual and Maintenance Records Booklet).
*Maserati SpA does not guarantee tyres. The individual tyre manufacturer offers a warranty specific to that brand. All tyre information can be found in the respective Owner’s Manual. Each dealership should assist the customer with any tyre related issue and offer to facilitate any claim between the customer and the tyre manufacturer.
Other Exclusions
- The replacement of maintenance items such as filters, hoses, belts, wires and coolant made in connection with the required emission control maintenance services (when applicable).
- Labour for defective Maserati part or accessory sold, but not installed by an authorized Maserati dealer, in this case the defective part or accessory will be repaired or replaced at Maserati’s discretion;
- Parts and accessories not sold, supplied or approved by Maserati;
- Parts with malfunctions caused by misuse, improper adjustments, modification, alteration, tampering, disconnection of system parts and improper or inadequate maintenance
- Any vehicle on which the odometer mileage has been altered and the vehicle’s actual mileage cannot be readily determined;
- Damage resulting from accident, acts of nature or other events beyond the control of Maserati.
