Car Parc Allocation
When a car is sold, the selling dealer will be listed as the “assistance dealer”. Later the vehicle can be assigned to another dealer.
The change of allocation can be made through:
- A RAM notification that will forward the request to the Warranty Team;
- The automatic car parc allocation system on the occurrence of one of the following criteria:
- The car is assigned to an area, region, country “undefined” and a dealer opens an SE or reports the change of ownership, the vehicle will be assigned to this dealer
- If the car has performed the last two interventions at a workshop, the car will be assigned to that dealer;
- If a dealer reports a change of ownership, the car will be assigned to that dealer;
- If the last intervention was performed over one year ago, the vehicle will be assigned to the dealer that performed the last intervention;
- If there is a change of Area (or in EMEA from Europe to MEA and vice versa) the vehicle will be assigned to the new dealer who facilitated the first workshop visit;
- If in entrance or departure from America, the vehicle will be automatically identified as EFM (Exported to Foreign Market) and it will be assigned to the new dealer;
You can find these guidelines in the Circular Letter “MAS002645 - Service Car Parc Allocation”.
