Digital Photographs

When your dealership finds it necessary to perform a repair that requires digital imaging such as Blue Online preauthorization, you may be required to attach digital photos. Please refer to the below guidelines and current Blue Online policies.

For Goodwill repairs approved by Customer Care, RAM’s and dealers, photos are required for the following repairs:

  • Paint and body
  • Wheel defects
  • Glass
  • Trim repair; dash, door panel(s), molding, seat cover(s), etc.
  • Clarification of unusual situations

High quality digital photos are required. Submit as many photos as possibly to clearly identify the anomaly. The images should identify:

  • The complete VIN - (Door Opening Label or Windshield VIN Plate)
  • The odometer mileage - (taken from the driver’s seat)
  • Images of the anomaly - (pointing out the affected area, utilizing a physical indicator, such as a pen or ruler, to identify the affected area)
  • All Photos must have date/time stamps visible in the attachment(s)

* IMPORTANT: Attached file formats must be JPG, JPEG, MOV, AVI, WMV, MP4, MPG, MPEG, TXT, DOC, XLS, PPT, or PDF, and no file can be larger than 5 MBs (5000 kB)
