Time Records / Time Control Systems

All Maserati dealers are required to have a time control system that utilizes a three part time card and a time clock that shows the time of day, date and month or electronic repair order equivalent. All repairs whether Customer pay, Internal or Warranty must be documented with a minimum of one on and one off time punch per line item. Each line item on the repair order and warranty claim requires separate punches and must be identified by the technician. In addition, diagnostic time and straight time require separate punches per occurrence. Failure to meet these requirements on valid warranty claims may result in returned or rejected claims.

Time records provide the necessary documentation to substantiate the time spent on all repairs (especially diagnosis and straight time).

A time control system is a valuable service management tool which provides a means to measure how much time is spent on each repair and to calculate technician productivity, efficiency, and utilization.

• All Straight Time repairs must have a valid time punch on the RO.

• Technicians are required to punch straight time separately from all other repairs on the RO.
