Variant Tracking
All authorized Maserati dealerships are required to notify Maserati of any and all changes made to the original vehicle configuration. This applies to vehicles covered under warranty and vehicles out of warranty.
Notifications to Maserati are made using the Vehicle Configuration Update tab in Service Entry Insert and following the procedures as outlined in the Service Entry Manual. Maserati must be notified of:
• Any genuine Maserati part numbers installed on the vehicle that are different from the original vehicle configuration in terms of color, customization, etc. (e.g. steering wheels, full seats, seat parts, moldings, interior trims, etc.).
• Any non-genuine part numbers or aftermarket components installed such as alarm systems, electronic devices of any kind, accessories, aftermarket wheels, suspension pieces, paint protection film, etc.
• Serial numbers of the following components if they have been replaced:
• Engine (new or remanufactured)
• Gearbox
• Differential
• IT node (NIT)
Entering the required part numbers and serial numbers in ModisCS+ will update the vehicle master database. These updates are necessary for future part orders and technical service reports.
