Scheduled Maintenance
The scheduled maintenance execution is a very important element for ensuring proper functioning and performance of each Maserati vehicle.
Depending on model and engine and according to sales market, Maserati provides a maintenance plan that contains controls and/or interventions to be performed based on their time and/or mileage limits.
It is possible to refer to the maintenance plan directly in the owner’s manual of each vehicle and on Knowledge Online portal in Modis.
Scheduled maintenance properly performed means maintenance carried out following all time and mileage limits, with a permitted maximum tolerance of 3,000 Kilometers / 1,864 miles or 90 days, whichever occurs first, as long as all the planned interventions have been carried out.
Failure to comply with scheduled maintenance or maintenance execution with materials and / or lubricants not specified by Maserati may lead to:
A. The deterioration of vehicle performance and the occurrence of defects or technical problems not covered by warranty.
B. The void of MASERATI Commercial Warranty.
The owner is responsible to have the required maintenance performed as per the Maintenance Schedule listed in the Owner’s Manual.
The customer is responsible for the correct execution of scheduled maintenance.
The warranty booklet and/ or maintenance records must be reviewed before any repair is covered by warranty.
Before any repair on a vehicle under warranty is executed, a regular maintenance check must performed, through verification of the coupon on the warranty booklet; in case a service was performed out of the Maserati official network, materials and lubricants used must be checked through the related invoice.
If any maintenance irregularities (delay and/or non-compliant materials and/or lubricants) are found, the customer must be promptly informed and the repair order documented, of the potential void of warranty on all components subject to maintenance.
Also please inform Maserati via Blue On Line “Request of Authorization to claim”, and attach copy of warranty booklet and maintenance invoices.
The previously mentioned requirements are important especially when the workshop visit is due to a technical problem over components subject to maintenance (e.g. lubricated components).
In such instances, the customer should be informed that, the consequent diagnosis and/or checks and/or repairs are intended at their expense.
The customer must provide authorization by signing the repair order, as an example: “the customer authorizes work to be performed at their expense, due to the void of contractual warranty because of irregular maintenance”.
Warranty claims referring to components included in the planned maintenance and lacking of the above mentioned necessary conditions, will be rejected.
We suggest to consider the contact with the customer as an opportunity to strengthen the relationship with your Workshop / Dealership and an opportunity to advise them on how best to care for their Maserati and to propose products and services more in line with their vehicle needs, in accordance with the correct scheduled maintenance.
In order to restore a voided, a formal request has to be submitted to MASERATI, and a decision will be offered based on facts provided.
