Battery Replacement and Claiming Under Warranty

For battery replacement or recharge claims, the following documents must be attached to the Service Entry:

  • One battery test printout: The Maximus Tester/Charger will produce a printout that provides the following: test results, date, chassis number, CCA, voltage, battery condition, and a bad cell, yes or no.
  • Photos of the battery label showing the P/N and CCA rating along with a sticky note showing the time and date.
  • The 15-digit warranty code provided by the tester should be entered in the notes section of the claim

Refers to the most recent published Blue on Line Policy in order to verify if a Blue On Line Report is required in case the Battery is included in the Prior approval components list.

Refer to Circular Letter  MAS004655 “Battery Policy for E-XTEQ Maximus Charger Tester” , Circular Letter MAS004654 “Grecale 12V Battery Management and Diagnosis” for additional information and document requirements and Circular Letter MAS004420  "Management and Maintenance of In Stock Vehicles".

We remind you that the 48V lithium ion battery is not to be considered as a consumable component; therefore, the same Warranty conditions of new vehicle are valid.
