Repair Versus Replacement

Maserati North America recommends that each dealership consider the most cost effective repair when addressing manufacturer defects. Unless directed differently, a repair of a component should be considered before replacing a component.

In the event a repair costs 75% or more of the replacement costs, then the option to replace should be utilized. It is important that the dealership review all applicable repair instructions found in published bulletins, technical documentation, and technical emails.

Replacing a component that could have been repaired, may result in rejected claims.

It is imperative that the cost of repair does not exceed the cost of replacement.
