State Regulations – Lemon Law
Every state has laws designed to protect the rights of consumers and are commonly referred to as “Lemon Laws”. The penalty in all cases is a heavy one, so familiarity with the Lemon Law of your state is essential to limit our liability and an important component of customer satisfaction.
Generally, these Lemon Laws impose a duty on MNA or authorized Maserati dealer to repair a defect or nonconformity within a reasonable number of attempts (typically 3 repairs for the same concern or out-of-service less than 30 days). A defect or nonconformity is one that substantially impairs the use, value, or safety of the motor vehicle sold, leased, or registered in that state. If the dealer is unable to correct the customer’s concern after a reasonable number of repair attempts, MNA may be obligated to either repurchase or replace the vehicle.
You must make a good faith effort to notify MNA immediately whenever you are aware that a vehicle is or may become subject to your state’s Lemon Law. Please refer to the Attorney General’s website in your state or contact your dealer’s attorney for more detail, as the criteria mentioned above will vary from state to state.
