Sub-Contract (Sublet) Services

A sublet amount must be entered in the appropriate field in the warranty claim system. All sublet invoices must be attached to the claim, utilizing the Upload function. All sublet charges must be explained in the Notes section.

The sublet invoice must contain the following details (the vendor must enter this information, the dealer must not enter this data):

  • Vendor’s name, address, phone number, and invoice number
  • VIN
  • Corresponding repair order #
  • Miles/Kilometers
  • Detailed explanation of parts and/or labor
  • Detailed explanation of the work performed
  • Sublet Vendors must time punch to support all actual time requests
  • Total charged amount

All sublet invoices are subject to the following requirements:

  • Charges are based on sublet vendor’s labor rates
  • Sublet charges that are $1,500 US ($2,000 CAD) or more must receive prior authorization
  • The dealership is responsible for the quality of repair performed to Maserati vehicles. If a vehicle requires the same repair, as the result of poor workmanship or a part not supplied by MNA the claim is subject to debit or rejection
  • All sublet invoices must be properly cross-referenced with the dealer  repair order

The following sublet invoices can be marked up by 10%, not to exceed $100.00:

  • Paint and body repair/panel replacement
  • Wood trim refinishing
  • Soft trim repairs
  • Purchase of materials or services not available through Maserati or Maserati programs

Dealers are responsible for retaining the original paid receipt and/or sublet charge invoice. These documents have to be readily available upon request.
